unfinished by Mary Frances Spencerdeath aneurism
just finished his portfolio
girlfriend and 7 year old son
found him on floor
mail unopened
grudges unresolved
work pending
no time left
to tie the
loose unlaced
cinch that deal
smell the roses
gravity swift
he dropped
whatever he was doing
fell into
forever after
01/26/2010 Author's Note: Someone we know passed suddenly and unexpectedly. It kind of makes you realize how precious life is and maybe it wouldn't hurt to forgive, move forward in each moment with positivity and purpose. Namaste MFS

Posted by George Hoerner on 01/27/10 at 12:51 PM Very nice write MFS. 'Grudges unresolved', wow how we never seem to have the time till we none. And I standing on the banana peel. |

Posted by Therese Elaine on 01/27/10 at 06:46 PM I think you managed a really fitting tribute to the suddenness of passing and the strange twists in life...very good work here. |
Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 01/27/10 at 08:53 PM The short lines to this give me the abruptness of his demise - very effective. I like the phrase "gravity swift" very much, and those last two lines make me think of a fairy tale, but with a real death ending. Thank you, and I'm sorry for your loss. |
