Drift

by Julie Adams

the snow welcomes me home
like a muted applause
drifting into the darkness

I am like a snowflake here
these travels will shape me
as I find my way

I saw a huge snow there in the mid 50's. We couldn't get out for a couple of days. A sweet write lady and for me much recall.

You make the snow feel so inviting! Excellent piece!

the meteorologist forecast snow today, and because you have proclaimed yourself to be a snowflake in this wonderful ode, all the snowflakes I see flying by my window today will remind me of you and I shall be glad.
