Smiling In The Wind

by Michael Defries

A big rain storm is approaching
It is the whirl sound...wrrr...whhhrrrrrl...wrrr |
The whizzing of the wind...swwiste...swwizzz...khoouohe... |

...As the clouds, they pass, gray dark abysmal |

Ambient temperatures fall
Like stalactites of enclosed
Caverns in crystalline fortresses.

She raises her head
Bows her brow
Braced
With calamity in her.

Feels the gentle. |
Stops to hear nature,
As it plays its sweet violin...
Over her long silky brown hair.

Her-eyes-wide-with-electricity...
Glowing with childlike amusement,
Making all of the Earth vibrate
Resonant tones of love to all.

Especially liked those last two lines.
