Night Driving Without Headlights

by V. Blake

Night driving without headlights
It's times like these I hunt my soul
Though it's far too late to find it
And as much will take its toll
'neath skies that will deride me
When I won't let them make amends
For the stars they have denied me
In this dark that doesn't end.

Ah, methinks you are creating a neoPoe movement here. This brings me waaaaaaaaay back. EAP was the first poet I fell in love with. You capture the dark feeling and I like the way you make it personal and soulful in your own Blakeway. I salute you for so young devoting yourself to this craft, this art.

I love it when someone says so little but illicits so much...well done.
