My friend

by Shannon McEwen

A smile bright
By winter’s dreary light
Infects a flagging spirit
Lifts up the corners
And stretches the cheeks
When her laughter
Erupts in silent halls
Between hollow walls
Joyous sound
A mood rebounds

Is it not great to realize there is at least one we call "friend" who will smile today thinking of us or make us smile thinking of them. Well done lady!
