Acid

by Vikki Owens

it made the colors warp and swirl,
a drizzle of reality
into an ever finer mist
it made the walls
weep and moan
it pulled the edges out like
taffy in the
teeth,
i covered the white in
sheets of texture,
amorphous and sinewy
it comes in waves...
and over and over...
repeatedly..
seething..

i never made that trip but it sounds like a Pollock painting turned on its corner.

This is so vivid in shapes moving and changing and walls that "weep and moan"; seething is such a great last word. This is frightening and mesmerizing at the same time.

Very vivid, good job.
