prediction.

by Emily Tong

would you like to know a funny thing
about the soul>?we are untied untethered feathery things floating
and yet
all we wish is foreground and background around and around and under us in which>
we can send our hesitant and lonely roots down> down>
desperate to find the
inner-outer-under-side-most edges but>
there is no certain depth or height and no limit from side to side
this dance we dance in the ground unbound by space by time existence
tied to movement and the soul tied to nothing
nothing ties the soul no
thing but
ourselves and that flesh which we wish for and
certainly find as those things which are sought> like theories and knowledge and truth> are always found when
we know what we are looking for.

Wonderful foresight, Emily -- simply amazing!
