One More

by Clara Mae Gregory

the wings fold

and her gold

nimbus dulls

as she climbs

aloft her soft bed

of soporific manuscript

seductively scribed

with arduous marks

portentous and bold

waiting to be

edited then sold

bound in dreams

in past tense pages

another ego

is found

lost

in the

universe

This is solid! Loved the shape, the carefully chosen words - "seductively scribed with arduous marks portentous and bold" - my favorite lines. Thank you.
