Crimson Sky by Jose FelicianoShattered faces,
All unresolved.
Mysteries of darkness,
Memories that are dissolved.
Scars of anger,
With tears of blood.
You're still a stranger,
Bleeding me to a flood.
Obscure redemption,
Intentions not known.
I'm scared to fight,
Falling and all alone.
I long for eternity,
To be embraced with peace.
Seeking empty desires,
To quench my thirst and sleep.
Soulless in a desert,
Like evil hunting a prey.
What have I become?
Is it worth the price to pay?
Pure skies are shattered,
Demons torment and fly.
Like a crow in the night,
I fly into the crimson Sky. 10/29/2009
Author's Note: I thought it would be nice to actually write a poem for Halloween. The poem originally started out with personal feelings of recent events, but I thought it would be interesting to disguise those feelings with a Halloween metaphor. Please excuse the writing, English is not my first language. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
