arrested, a rhyming repost

by Charlie Morgan

...by your girlish dimples and cute face,
and no idea the length of the race,

we both sought the sunset's glow
still neither could know.

at the breadth of the meeting
two hearts as one, began beating.

and the rhytmn of love at 3/4 tempo
sang by the maiden sirens of Clotho

caused the flitter and stutter
of our voices that muttered:

i love you,
and me you.
