Evening Dew ~Darkens Jo's Horizon~

by A. Paige White

I brought you a rainbow
With my heart pounding
Never knowing if or when
The smile you bring my face
Will fade from this world’s view

The colors were few
But, oh, how they glow
And right on cue

I brought you a rainbow
And I might have caught the dew

Author's Note:
A sunset in the journey at day's end...

Who but God could tie such a bow in the sky?
...the better to bless His tired, petulant children...

you are such a sap these days. in a good way!...i mean, you found love and passion...that deserves quite a few good poems to be written about it, i'd say. :) either way, you took an old, potentially cliche' subject here and gave it a little extra sparkle...a beam of life and hope. this is pretty, without trying too hard to be just that. :D niiiiice.

Tired! I would have thought that someone would invent some better reasons for believing.

Fresh and uplifting. I can feel the hopeful but concerned anticipation.

The dew doesn't darken my horizon; it's the pretence of turning your other cheek and yet actually just running away from any kind of solid argument which would force you to see yourself, light, world. The shambles of a religion built around violence and falsity, and hoodwinking centuries of people. [ People sometimes on Pathetic change things around; so the comment is on your updated title "Evening Dew ~Darkens Jo's Horizon~" ] Can't you enjoy a rainbow in its grandeur in yourself so as to bring some third party to grovel to?

Well, my dear, it is such a delight to read and see such a stunning Godmirror as you and your poetry. This one lovely as the sun glistening on ice crystals. Wew!
