i follow your moves by Charlie Morgani hide my need for your approval;
wit, cuteness, one-liners, scratch
the surface of my Universe filled
with the black hole of expression.
i have words; i have touch;
i have tomorrow. tonight.
mayhaps a time will come when my fear
will slink away, filled with my ego;
i'll become the rock-biter of legend,
bring grins to all below for laughs.
breathe with me. beside me. around me.
don't look away, i fear i will disappear.
remember at 7 when you had a girlfriend pillow;
you sat tall, you were my girlfriend to school.
i knew all; we kick-started each other's day.
all this is a wonderful pile of blurred memories.
brought to life as we remind ourselves, we
are each other, aswim in the same current. 09/16/2009 Posted on 09/16/2009 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

Perfect lines. |
| Posted by Joe David on 09/17/09 at 03:35 AM This is honest and real. I'm not sure it gets any more authentic than this. In fact, I am just a little surprised by the realness of it. And that damn first line - you did it again. I am going to have to go up to your office, sit at your feet and take notes. |

| Posted by Maude Curtis on 09/17/09 at 03:17 PM "we are each other, aswim in the same current" I feel that line to the depths of my soul for my other half. Beautiful poem, Chaz |

| Posted by Steven Kenworthy on 09/19/09 at 07:04 AM i'm not going to spend ten million light years telling you why i like this so much, but i will say that in a history of 4 years on & off of reading your work, this is definitely my favorite of yours. the choppy structure is appealing and works very well for you here. big ups... |

bring grins to all below for laughs. That sounds like Charlie to me. I love your use, and clever misuse, mayhaps, of the wonderful english language. Great!!
