Very clever use of a chess board and symbols. Love it!

I think I hit a stalemate thinking about this, but it didn't put me to sleep. I don't understandd all the symbols, though, especially in rook territory. The bishops are easy enough, and the knights cracked me up - almost as much as the opposition. Still, I can't help but feel a little bit dumb. Which is normal. It gives me incentive.

I reckon £ and |||| think no one sees what's going on.
