| Posted by Glenn Currier on 09/03/09 at 04:14 PM What a great poem. It artfully captures the strength and passion of that first love. The rhymes pull me in like the aroma of a hot cherry pie on the window sill. But the sadness is palpable. Well done, indeed. |
| Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 09/05/09 at 12:00 PM This is so accurately written of such a shock to the heart. "As if your death was yesterday" softly lands with a splash of depth. You rhyme so well that I don't even notice it until moments after reading. I'm a fan of rhyming, such as many poets and musicians from past and present use. And you're good at this. |
