initialization sequence [fight and flight]

by Laura Doom

Every picture paints a truth
long-taled but little understood,
imperfect circles circumventing youth
zen-meshed in greater good;
ambition brushed, a stroke of luck
bestows its brilliance unbound
enticing all but those that suck
to blow poetic dust around
however puerile or profound.

Jailbird as journalist, horrors to sing
in the key of catastrophe, wonders to fling;
launching lost hope like a mood on a swing
life is perched on her palette, its love-child takes wing.

Oh, don't you just hate it when someone says " I like this." Well,I am sorry, but ...."I love this." ......and I don't feel like expanding on the why.

Like Melanie, I'm content not to expand the why's but "launching lost hope like a mood on a swing" spoke to me. Great writing deserve the highest marks so you're getting just that from me. Encore!

Very enjoyable to read aloud. "enticing all but those that suck to blow poetic dust around" - gotta love this, and "in the key of catastrophe" sings to me. Thanks for this.
