the problem with psychopaths by Jared FladelandI tie you up,
cut tiny holes across your forehead,
Peel back scalp, and crack open skull,
Because I want to know what you're thinking but I'm too afraid to ask.
I pour cement across your tied up feet,
Hold you down until it dries, because I want nothing more than for you to stay,
But I can see in your eyes
You want to leave.
And when you die from lack of food
I mourn over you like the child that lost his balloon to the sky
Because I was never too good at relating to girls so well.

Posted by Glenn Currier on 08/24/09 at 06:20 PM It is easy to feel superior and completely unlike the "deviants." Yet, we have in common the same human yearnings and insecurities. The honesty in this piece is courageous. |
