"In Twilights" by Max PhineasOur faces glow red from chasing tail lights
evading twilights
a silent drive on a noisy night
a lethargic drear and lingering alcohol in the back of the taxi
little to say in too much time
a hollow ache in a hollow space
tapping window glass with nervous knuckles
but our smiles fill the darkness and I don't speak my wish
for endlessly more nights
like this. 08/19/2009 Posted on 08/19/2009 Copyright © 2025 Max Phineas
