Hannah Montana Vs. Yoda Dakota

by Andrew S Adams

put the mind to the grindstone, the pistol to the temple
ticking seconds til the timezone tips to the central
let your mental machinations masquerade as mass elation
while the madness manifests itself inside your situation

got you pacin' late, The A.M. breaks
never get to sleep so the sheep never wakes
the body shakes from the way the knees tend to buckle
makes gettin words out my mouth a constant struggle

clarity is fickle and when i tickle on that impulse
i trip upon the ticking time bomb flippin insults
get caught in a twisted vindictive trap
a trainwreck broken magnum opus verbal crack

i will shout the exaltation of the finders of solutions
bring a gun to the temple of the sacred institutons
make a nuisance when it's prudent like a samurai student
educated in the ways of kung fu movement

i'm sittin out in minnesota sippin on a chery cola
and hannah montana battles yoda dakota
spoke of many wise things like a shakespeare joker
under summer sun hotter than a planetary interloper

hoping that the rope-a-dope slight of wordplay coaster
can hold a toast to those with mostly verbs to bolster
baseless arguments regardless of their merits
shared with blinding indiscretion from the basement at they parents

that's where it is at the moment, cos no one holds a job
you're either hustlin in the bussle or sucking up to god
there ain't much in between that i've seen in these raps
but the dream always rests on the top of the tracks

looking for a free ride, but the mind will refuse
train run too fast for the tempo of your blues
so what'cha do? you hit the check one twos
and help me unload on the mental kung fu
