My Happy Place

by Allison Smith

Sittin’ here just thinkin’ about my freedom days
Curled up tight, lights are out
Just tryin’ to find my happy place

But I don’t know how
And I don’t know where
The pain is so so much to bear

To bring you back and bring me out
My freedoms over and
Here’s my way out

Lights are off and you won’t be back
Just hug my knees and wipe my tears

Cos’ you took my freedom days
When you walked out that door
Can’t handle no happy place
No more
No more

I KNOW. Like the feel of familiarity yet unwelcomed despite the STRESSes of our losses.I have lossed babies-not due to abortion...it is cruel.

Well worded reminder of my own struggles to remain in that happy place.
