peeking through the venecian blinds
i see the truck outside the door,
and i wonder...
who on earth are these flowers for?

They can't be for me.
I have no one.
Because,
you are dead to me.
you have
cheated
lied
and
charmed
me
for the LAST time.

I sign for the flowers,
beautiful red roses
like the blood
that runs
COLD through my veins.

there is no name on.
anonymous flowers.
anonymous apology?
these aren't
"I'm sorry" flowers.
these are
"I'm sorry i got caught" flowers.

another day,
another bouquet.
pink carnations,
baby's breath,
pink roses
other stuff of which
i know not the name
just as i know not
who sent me these flowers.
"Thinking of you" says the card.

I'm just thinking...
'How the hell will i get these home?'

what a waste...
to kill mother nature's miracles
to ease your guilt about a decision
that was done with such
DISTASTE.
