I Know No Other North

by Melissa Panther

This is raw
tender, beginning the thaw
you are sunk
I am overflowing
my edges
and we
have made moves
not yet realized

Even your quiet
gestures find no
place to rest
when held by my hopes
by my
hands
my need,
unguarded, unarticulated,
unacknowledged

There is no center
I know where you
do not exist

Without you I am
incomplete, unknown
your embrace is
my only home
I know
no other north

Very nicely done lady. This is very enjoyable. It sounds like "true north" to me!
