Angelic Pools of Infinity by Wendy SparlingCurled up in the fetal position
your fragile frame laying still
awaiting for the moment
when God will claim you,
and take your pain in silence
Looking upon your weak body
a flutter of an eyelid
silence again
A great heave of breath,
then a struggle to sit upright
a slight sway then steadied
your grey blue eyes,
grey pools
set upon my face
Our eyes meet in silence
Those grey pools fluttering
an ever ending light glowing,
endless orb
in her inner being
She gazed upon my face
with love that had no boundary,
a flooding of peace
which made me speechless
Open palms facing the sky,
like a dove ready to take flight
there before me, an Angel,
a Changeling
Quietly, the Angel lay down,
her body weak again
My Mother peacefully
drifted away...

Posted by A. Paige White on 07/07/09 at 08:57 PM This is an exquisite word sculpture in memorial to your Mom. I know she must have been smiling down on you as you chiseled out your love with such beauty that even the dust is more precious than gold or jewels in her sight. |
