Florida awaits

by Charlie Morgan

destined for Destin; my relief placard reads.
don't tread on me tatooed in my mind's eye:

it's a note to myself.

a reminder that what's new
is old and what's old is new.

so not to be too much about myself.
i'll don a pirate hat and be off

into a play-like world that seems
to exist(yet only in my boy's eyes)
that i've hauled all these years,
only to drop-off, leave in Destin.

May its white sands and blue waters enliven that little boy and return a bold buccaneer with untold treasures to share. Have fun Charlie!

Ohhhhh, wish it was "Oregon Awaits" LOL!!! But to be sure, Florida would be much more tempting!

I wish you a wonderful journey, my friend -- may "Destiny in Destin" offer everything you're looking for :)
