In The Storm by Brian Francis
In the hours of need with all hope forsaken
When life’s fearful storms torment the soul
Spirits are down and loneliness haunts you
When the fog of deception has taken its toll
Rejoice, rejoice the heavens are singing
Rejoice, rejoice in the Father above
Rejoice, rejoice the echoes of praising
Rejoice, rejoice in His heavenly love
If sorrows like a flood sweep in upon you
Driving you mad with worry and fear
Awash in life’s pain you only know suffering
When goodness is lost to the salty wet tear
Rejoice, rejoice the heavens are singing
Rejoice, rejoice in the Father above
Rejoice, rejoice the echoes of praising
Rejoice, rejoice in His heavenly love

Posted by Glenn Currier on 07/13/09 at 01:48 PM Gratitude and the joy of faith sing out in your poem. It is sometimes hard to have faith in the midst of the storm, so concerned am I about my very survival, but you lift me up and give me hope. Thanks. |
