New Worlds

by Alisa Js

consider our lonely parts
sitting at his or her
longitude and latitude
for hours,
days even.
what is the actual attraction
driving this kind of intercommunication
inside the mind as the observer watches
and waits,
anticipating.
there was a time before this time
when human interaction
was an actual prerequisite,
before moving forward
towards that door
with anyone worth having,
anything worthy of serious contemplation
concerning
love, family and all things that follow.
real life
real love
real tears.
and yet,
now there are myriads of stories
confessions
celebrations
of love, real love
found in these new worlds
a sign of the times,
how utterly divine...

Beautiful, how this builds into its ending. Wonderful.

I certainly applaud your embracing this new world and the new customs of interaction. "there was a time before this time when human interaction was an actual prerequisite," - these lines describe the expectations of my youth for sure, and now ... a time of adjustment. Thank you.

There was a time when reality was picking up a stone to feel it, or to reach into water to feel its wetness. Today the couch is the throne. The TV is the reality. And reality? It's all just in the mind. Good write my friend.
