jes' watchin' Kai by Charlie Morgana cloudy day brushed past the sunshine
as it clumbered by anonymously;
grabbed it's ticket, punched it.
zipping to the dry fields below.
the lank grasses waved 'aloha'
the last of the breeze seized,
becoming erect, tall and lanquid.
we tailed two trash-men, Slim and John.
his tossed hair-head kept all his world inside;
a stapler and junk mail matter to him now.
soon his hands and interests will zoom
toward matters of the human flesh.

| Posted by Maude Curtis on 05/29/09 at 03:12 PM That's got to be the luckiest little boy in the world, to have a Gramps that can make the simpliest thing an adventure. Smiles and hugs to you and Kai, Charlie. |
| Posted by Kris Mara on 05/29/09 at 03:18 PM makes me smile...with the subject matter (adorable and immense) and the way you present your words...your descriptions are interesting, vivid, alive...detailed, yet effortless in reading and that's admirable (Oh I hope that came out right, sometimes it's hard to express it all...) |

Makes me look forward even more to this evening when I get sole custody (well, gotta share him with Pop a smidgen, I s'pose) for the weekend! Maybe we'll tail some trash men too! |
