Make A Wish by Maude CurtisDid you ever make a wish and have it come true?
Well I have and now I'm really cautious in what I wish for.
It started when I was mad at my first grade teacher
and I wished the school would burn down and it did!
Then when I was about 10 I wished the rooster would stop hurting me.
The next day he got into the pig pen and Miranda, the pig, ate him.
Then when I wished for a parakeet and my friend bought me 10,
I stopped wishing for anything I really, really, really didn't want.
So when I wished my abusive husband would drop dead and he didn't
I felt it was safe to try again. So I started to wish for more.
I wished to get away from the abuse and managed to do that.
I wished I had money for a house and pennies fell from heaven.
I wished for happiness and my kids blessed me with 9 grandchildren.
This streak is getting better and better, so I wished for more.
I wished for my first love to come back into my life.
That wish is still in the process of being fulfilled.
Now I've wished that my neighbor's tree wasn't there
cause it interfers with my satellite reception. IT'S DYING!!!
Have I gone too far?? Is the curse back?? Lord I'm sorry!
I wish I never had this gift. OOPS there I go again.

I get the feeling that this is based in truth, but true or not, I really enjoyed reading it.Thanks for sharing. :) |
| Posted by Kris Mara on 05/12/09 at 08:37 PM be careful indeed! Sounds like you've gotten many good things with this gift, but beware! I'm drawn to this, as I used to be rather (ok, really) superstitious about wishing...I like how you touch on the positives and negatives and even bring humor out in this... |
