Lost Now Found

by Maude Curtis

All of my adult life I've been lost,
not knowing just what was wrong,
stumbling around through the years,
for some reason I didn't belong.

I tried to love again and again,
the passion just wasn't there.
No man could measure up to, What?
Life and love for me wasn't fair.

I remember a time so long ago,
a boy and a girl were in love.
They loved each other for who they were.
A feeling sent down from above.

Dreams now faded, long in the past.
What ever happened to those two?
Those kids now grown and far apart.
I remember their dreams, Do You?

Then just by chance you found my name
and contacted me online.
My hopes ran high, my thoughts ran wild,
maybe someone is sending a sign.

For hours and hours we talked on the phone
we know that the feeling's still there.
The love that we had so long ago.
It's enough to know you still care.

Now I know where I fit, where I belong.
What I lost I now have found
and when you come home I'll be waiting for you,
right here at our old stomping ground.
