Dust

by Clara Mae Gregory

These

Pendulous times

Dazzle our senses,

Blinding some

Staring too long

At the sun.

Their reflection

In the mirror

Is whited out

By the brilliance

Of their own Ego.

Their flesh ultimately

Darkles in the epitaphs

Of forgotten existance,

Leaving only Heavenless

Specks of Dust

In their Void.

OMGosh, I LOVE "darkles". This is rich with interesting imagery, and leaves me with a clear sense of the chaos and confusion of these times. I get this picture of folks paralyzed by what's happening in the world around them, unable to decipher reality and lost in the shuffle of it. Welcome to Pathetic!

exquisite from the get go, simply simply a gorgeous assembly of words that tug at the soul seam.
