I Alone Have Filled My Mind

by Thomas K. Hunt

I’m in this time I call my own
Miles away and all alone
Through the years within this time
I alone have filled my mind

Thoughts of faces, places, and things
In this time, have been everything
But the time has flown so fast
I’m losing pieces of my past

As the years of time have passed
They run so faster now as they pass
There is one thing within this time
I alone have filled my mind

At this time, I call my own
In the darkness of my home
Forgetting faces from my past
There was a time I thought they’d last

Scattered memories of all the times
Traces of me between my rhymes
Pieces of me left behind
Some impossible to find

I’m in my time I call my own
Within this time, I am all alone
Silently sitting within my time
With all these thoughts that fill my mind

I could see this becoming a pretty song, man. It definitely has that quality running through it.

This really gets to the essence of ones thoughts and that process within time. I like the refrain "I alone have filled my mind" very much.
