i saw the worst minds of my generation leap to the heavens
in one tall bound
hysterically they took power
emboldened by their lofty positions
they tried to strangle
freedom by the throat,
as next they
sharpened their claws on the constitution,
nearly tearing it to bits in the process
as egotistically their political machinery turned
rights to wrongs and freedom to death.
so obtuse, seeing themselves as glorious pillars,
the saviors of mankind
while in fact they only scratch and claw
to maintain and wield their positions of power
moguls of oil and political bandits,
having stolen an election,
all come to say we protect and serve
but as rogue police
they dish out
their own form of punishment and favors
as the rich get richer walking on egg shell economics
as the floor begins to crumble,
those who can run for cover
pointing their fingers back
at those left and
continuing the tribal diatribe
against the un and under employed
leaving young mothers
to fend for themselves
they have this misunderstanding
that Americans can’t accept the truth
their concept of education indicates they
believe creativity can be quantified, measured,
maybe even, boxed and sold on the crumbling market
and with the earmark of dementia they
steadfastly claim they knew nothing of those
issues now being faced by the public
and a new President
history may well say
that is far closer to the truth
than they realized!

You've given such superb visuals of these figures and their chaotic activities. This is a classic and controlled in delivery. Well done. |
