My Own Flame by Alison McKenzieI am my own flame,
Ignited by the passion
Burning in the center of my being.
I miss you,
But I will survive this
Abandonment.
Today, I am safe.
Today, I am loved
From the inside out
By myself
And Divinity.
I miss you
But your presence
Is not required.
Today, my path is before me.
Today, I am caressed
By the wind and
The fragrant vapors
Of celestial influence.
Yes, I miss you -
Your touch, your smile,
Your reassuring conversations -
But I will live to tell.
I am courted by voices
More elevated than our own,
Cleansing the way to enlightenment.

Posted by Charlie Morgan on 03/29/09 at 12:54 AM ...been thinkin' about that writin' of yours and seeing it gently lie down on a page of white; voila! i see your feather-down emotions settle on to the pathetic sheet. like when the guys see the girl from Ipanema, they say "ahhhh." a good [distanced] love of life emerges horizons and all. |

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 03/29/09 at 02:46 PM This is one we should all post and reflect on with ourselves. "Today, I am loved
From the inside out
By myself
And Divinity." Yes!
