inhale

by Mary Frances Spencer

breathe in spring
soft sun petals
opening
slowly

be warmer
dig deeper
plant positive
intention

exhale bitter
cold dark fear
cutting wind lift
the dead
leaves

and be
green stalk reaching
ever upward
blooming
anew

How lovely, reading this poem melts the cold. I love it.

Nah, but this is still a nice bit of writing. Warm, pleasant. You definitely did some good work with the imagery here.

I have absolutely no problem inhaling your Inhale. It is certainly a breath o' fresh Ode.
