Everlasting

by Elizabeth Hoadley

A clock's face
telling time
on the hour
every hour

The ocean's tide
which shares
all the world's
beaches

A cat's curiosity
toying with the
ball of string
until all of its
mysteries are
unraveled

A newlywed couple
blissful love
that carries them
as far as the honeymoon

A baby's smile
reminding every
adult of their
innocence

A crying mother
when her youngest
leaves home
for the first time

A smiling teacher
when their student
surpasses all
expectations

Love in every word
of
A happy ending

Especially liked 3 and 4, but it's all enjoyable and ended on a bright note.
