Struck to Primal by Alison McKenzie
Look at those eyes,
Prism blue to sky
Circuitous to ocean
Graying on the precipice
Of skin and sheath
Fur lined security
And the wire hair wild
A gaze piercing all
Veils of season
Struck by you, primal
