Love/Hate

by Joan Serratelli

Two emotions
So close
On a 360 degree angle
They lay side by side
on the circle of life
The real hatred is indifference
when caring dosen't exist

My only question is
when love dies
where does it go?
does it float around forever
just waiting to be found?

Thought provoking, and a valuable question asked in that second stanza. For me, having been around the block a few times in my 51 years, I like to think that some semblance of those loves remains, focusing on the positives as opposed to the negatives.

"The real hatred is indifference."

Indifference is horrible to bear.

I would love to read your further exploration of this concept. I love where you've taken it so far, but more, maybe, and then revision?
