Politics vs. Particle Physics

by Lacy D Phillips

Politics is a super collider -
intricate, immense, unwieldy,
entirely dependent on unknowns.

In this metaphor, I give you to understand,
honesty is the Higgs Bosun.

Author's Note: I may or may not tack on a few more stanzas, each illuminating its own metaphorical concept revolving around the parallels and interdependencies of politics and particle physics.

Unfortunately, we seem to have much more control over the one than the other. Or at least we haven't yet determind how to do it.

A little more couldn't hurt. I really do like what's here though.

This poem leaves particles on the mind, to ponder, to recall later, when political ideas collide with living systems in the world around us...I eagerly await what more this may become...a pleasure as always to wander in your metaphors...peace, jewels xxx
