Until We Change God's Name To Love by Amy WustrinMy country and my family
Are fading fast like dreams
They've turned their backs on truth
Now nothing's what it seems
A nation that gave up it's borders
A daughter that gave up her past
And all we can do is keep hoping
That the next brilliant answer will last
I'm sick of the sudden quick fixes
I'm sick of the lies in my face
I'm sick of the sun in the morning
I'm sick of the whole human race
Sometimes I write with hand of Creator
Sometimes it's meaningless drivel on paper
But I know one thing that's eternally true
You can hide from the truth, but like Love, it will find you
There isn't a darkness that won't be revealed
There won't be distractions, and no records sealed
It's gonna be us, and ourselves, and the truth
While we mark off our calendars waiting for proof
Until we change God's name to Love
And call it what it is
We'll never get the chance to know
Just what forgiveness is 01/22/2009 Posted on 01/22/2009 Copyright © 2025 Amy Wustrin
