Press pass by Keith D Allison
January's hope
some thought of beauty
beyond the vision
A small child beaten and abused
gunman kills three
17-year-old girl found cremated in 50 gallon drum
Blood of the eye
the naked ape
makes me cry
to rip the virus
from the womb
free the world of its pain 01/20/2009 Posted on 01/20/2009 Copyright © 2024 Keith D Allison

Posted by George Hoerner on 01/20/09 at 02:51 PM Well said Keith. I can't say how many tears I've shed hearing a news clip on radio or TV. Things making news as if they were every day occurrences and probably are while few take much notice. I'm stunned at how callous we've become. |
Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 01/20/09 at 10:35 PM The press "passes" on to us much to desensitize us. Heartfelt and well said, Keith. Thanks. |
Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 01/20/09 at 11:26 PM It's amazing, the culture we've created around televising that stuff over the last forty or so years. Brutal, effective images across the board, man. You do it well. |
Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 01/24/09 at 04:06 PM It's pretty rough out there. I have to continue to hope. I'd like to see the press try a different approach. |
