12 Loose Screw Haiku\Senryu Three in Techno-Color!

by David Hill

Roadster at midnight
winding wooded country road
flip off my headlights

Farmland and beer cans
bumpkin boys in a pick-up
Rap reverberates

The fashions spin round
Boxers, briefs, flares, bells, and pleats
Peaceniks, so passé

white sheets starched and stark
pasty blue-white death pallor
where have you gone to?

blue and red tendrils
twist round the craterous pores
drinker’s proboscis

riding with Ramones
I buzz saw bounce on the seat
try to flatten squirrels

Extremist death cult
follows a fervent baleen
Nantucket graveyard

jade marble flooring
chandelier lights the foyer
grand home of dust mites

“innocent” cherub
writhing in the toy store line
shrieking, “mine, mine, mine.”

crushed cigarette butt
crumpled Juicy Fruit wrapper
beside the gravestone.

The Enola Gay
such a lovely name to say,
and Hiroshima

slender glass slipper
spilling champagne star bubbles
waning crescent moon

Each one grabs me in some way. Very enjoyable.
