Poetry of Grace by Glenn CurrierSuffering is a giver.
What would the great volume
of poetry be without it?
The course rope of lost loves,
thin trail of unfinished songs
guilt of failures piled high
crumbling in our back yards
deadwood of broken promises
we stumble on while averting
with the addiction of the day.
What lessons would be lost
but for the great teacher
of suffering?
Is the insanity
hating or thanking
this great tutor?
But is it not more pathetic
to wallow in myopia
still the pen
steal the persistent beat
block the pulsing possibility
and poetry of Grace?

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 01/14/09 at 06:02 PM Possibility is always good, and I like that this piece seems to hold onto that belief very strongly, whether the end result is good or bad. Awesome work. |

Posted by George Hoerner on 01/14/09 at 07:03 PM Nice write Glen. It seems many have now recognized the opposites that reflect the reality in which we live. We have found love, hate, up, down, hot, cold, grace and dis. All and co much more make this existence, this being and nothingness. |
