Bandages, Safety Pins and Duct Tape by Joe CramerBandages, safety pins and duct tape
Define the parameters of my life.
As I go through the minutes of the day
Watching the clocks forever tocking on the wall.
I attempt to cover up the misnomers,
Inadequacies I have felt, I have expressed.
Of all the days and times I have stressed
Over loves I have had, what's leftover.
I could just scream, but instead, I am small.
My feelings always seem to get in the way.
In the living of my days through such held strife,
Somehow, somewhere, there is an escape. 01/09/2009 Author's Note: ... a recent implosion poem.....

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 01/10/09 at 05:56 PM I like how this starts out with tangible objects of repair. "I could just scream" - boy, haven't we all felt this!! I can so relate. Thank you. Hang in there. |
