Every Word

by Matthew Zangen

I can write my poems longer
to help you love them
before I hurt you
or you can listen
to my commas
tearing limbs from words
to dangle swing or throw
at better poets
so only punctuation remains
and question marks hold back ellipses
while exclamation points fuck periods

Elipses....I am guilty of using them to an extreme. Haha! Powerful kick here!

Judging by your photo, very mature words for a young wordsmith...and absolutely brilliant. Excellent juxtaposition of romance and poetry...how you've so easily wrapped up the two as one.
