i don't need stuff by Nanette Bellmani woke up angry on a twin sized bed.
because when i fell asleep, it was a full.
a full that was traded for a queen.
a full that i came into this with.
and when you made the trade
i knew it all along, you just didn't get the hint.
"who gets the bed if we split?
you just gave away my bed
that i had before you, without asking me."
you told me me.
and that was a lie.
that makes you a liar.
but that's not the point of this.
i already knew it anyway.
i've had to fight for dishes i've used to fight with.
i left the electric on in my name because you couldn't get it.
if i knew you would have made me feel this way,
i would have just hooked it up to my veins
and shut you off at the pole along time ago.
you've got my TV, my Christmas tree, movies.
you let your sister go through my stuff like it was the Goodwill.
taking purses and clothes and books,
all the stuff i couldn't carry out with my hands when i walked out.
when i first left.
today was the first day in a long time
that i thought about all this.
today was the first time in a while
that i got angry because my head wasn't under
the pillows my grandmother gave me.
but don't flatter yourself
because it certainly doesn't mean you've won. 12/12/2008 Author's Note: when you're washing dishings and look into the plate, i hope my face haunts you.

| Posted by Scott Utley on 12/13/08 at 04:10 AM I thought I was cuting and pasting your author's note, I was going to suggest that you change the title of this poem to 'does my face hurt' but when I clicked paste this popped onto the screen about the moon. (thinking this was strange, I left it as it is) I'll e-mail this to the guy/girl you wrote about if you want - that'll get him/her really good.
Earth, the moon and the sun are all bound together by gravity, which keeps us going around the sun and keeps the moon going around us as it goes through phases. The moon makes a trip around Earth every 29.5 days. But the orbit is not a perfect circle.
The moon's average distance from us is about 238,855 miles. Friday night it will be just 221,560 miles away. It will be 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons during the year, according to NASA.
Tides will be higher Friday night, too. Earth's oceans are pulled by the gravity of the moon and the sun. So when the moon is closer, tides are pulled higher. Scientists call these perigean tides, because the moon's closest point to Earth is called perigee. The farthest point on the lunar orbit is called apogee. |

"if i knew you would have made me feel this way,
i would have just hooked it up to my veins
and shut you off at the pole along time ago." - great lines. Hang in there.

| Posted by Anita Mac on 12/13/08 at 04:40 AM I kept thinking "Oh, that's going to be my favorite bit!" and then the next one was brilliantly put in an altogether different sort of brilliant bitterness... |
