Chasing/Chased by - the Sun, Moon, rising

by Racquel Cervantes

nostalgia(
mind's eyes escaping, sanctuaries
of ocean's breaking- new dawned horizons
racing
across my homeland.
oh, to be bathed in that new taste of
rebirth; this Everyday
a new beginning, end. chance.
)and I leap at the thought of seeing you
tonight
high in the clouds- above, beyond
waking dreams.
Heart, [with this breath]
I pray you
lead.

Very nicely done Racquel. I pray your heart takes you always to a safe place.

There's a great snapshot here of a person trying desperately to keep from getting lost. It's made even better by how obvious it is that you're damn sure not going down without a fight. I love how you put this together, and I love how strong your message comes across.
