3 Stone

by Keith D Allison

 The Stone

Faded winds of time
forgotten now
the broken stone
for those who remember
have their own stone's now…
fading in the wind

The Stone

He trembled
as he placed the stone in his pocket
apprehension… excitement
the knot in the stomach

At the appointed time and place
he brings forth the small bulge from his pocket
he looked into her eyes, they smile
as she promised to tie the knot

The Stone

A story to tell
the rhythm of the song
he thought he could write
but he was a stone
yes a stone

Fascinating, Keith. Like a tale remember in triptych. Seems the stones are precious to some, and not to others. Love the enigma and the tone here. Thanks.

I enjoyed the various glimpses of stones. Loved the second one.
