Life is a Loop by Alison McKenzieData
Gathered
Grit of details,
Glue of experience,
Creating stones which
Ricochet inside my heart,
Bouncing me into dysrhythmia
Previously cleared of all debris,
I re-enter familiar territory,
Unprepared for the chill of
Winter approaching
without my boots.
A music box
Sings in the distance,
Reaching my ears on a thin
Thread of gossamer hope
Through a constantly
Howling wind.
When I was young,
I ran.
Today I will build a shelter
And wait.

Author's Note: It's amazing to re-experience what I once considered resolved.

Posted by George Hoerner on 12/01/08 at 12:52 AM I don't know how I missed this one Alison. And you know that is what learning is all about, this re-experiencing what we thought was already resolved. |
