slippery by Frank Leesedated some summer night
sitting by the sauna
she smelled like
saranac
or something simmering on
the saute
i said something
sensitive
to the saucy salamander
someone from cold storage
thought it was
synonomous
with a sore thought
or a comment in the wind
me i was persisting
i had something to win
it were the type of
argument
you avoid when youre sober
but i was drunk and
impulse was taking over
we
didnt have time for knives or
ammunition
i was in the position
to shoot first but
i listened
it was a short
Soliloquy
something half short
of shakespeare
i was on the other end
naked and
half clear
of what when why
and whatever
it all happened
i wanted to make an excuse
but i just pulled the trigger
it was over

Posted by Rowan Luis on 05/28/09 at 10:49 AM I kind of felt drunk reading this, you caught that feeling so well... fast paced and powerful good |
