Try to Ignore

a heavy
warm
gust into
my writing hand
and as my ass
begins
to lose all feeling
I
try to ignore
the fact
that everyone
(including myself)
is dressed warmly
that winter is coming
too soon like last year
too soon like the heat
of this past summer
too soon it will be
