You are a very special friend of mine
Whether with me or not, always together in time
Your spirit lifts me when I am down
Nothing is better than your being around

You're silly, you're funny, you have such a flare
There's nothing you won't do no matter the dare,
And I like to think that when you are a bit sad
That I'm there for you to make you feel glad.

Good friendships are rare and often don't last
But ours is enduring and really a blast,
While not always smooth and with a bump once in a while
There's no doubt in my mind , we'll always be in style.

I can be moody and quiet and sensitive too
But I can never prevent always thinking of you,
So make no mistake no matter how far apart
You're a dear friend in deed and in my heart.

But no matter what happens in life down the road
I will always be near, and ready to ease your load

As I have many other things that I must do,
